Having developed a number of travel and tourism websites both in Australia and Africa, NetEngine were approached by a design agency in Uganda to develop the new website for Air Uganda.
We worked with the design agency on breaking down their design into different content types to make the concept fit into a content managed template. Key for the client was the ability to easily add and edit content daily with no technical knowledge, so a customised drupal installation with custom modules was the way we went on this one.

We began by utilising all of Flight Centre’s existing branding, followed by the development and integration of a job search plug in, allowing users to search the job listings database software (created using the Ruby On Rails framework).

We initially turned to Joomla as the content management system of choice, as the types of content required were fairly basic (blogging and articles). However, we later converted from Joomla to the flexible Drupal to allow for increasingly detailed features and a more user-friendly platform.
