Tagging

Tagging is the process of labeling items of content in order to group them by category. It plays a very important role in Search Engine Optimisation (SEO).

By tagging content and displaying the relevant tags, search engines know these keywords apply to the content. Most often, tags are hyperlinked to all content within that category or topic - Google will give you credit for this relevance and you'll start to rank higher for those search terms or keywords.
